With five years of professional experience, I am a dedicated expert in technical and general Irish language translation. I hold a BA in International Languages and an MSc in Translation Technology from Dublin City University. As an associate member of the Irish Translators' and Interpreters' Association, I uphold the highest standards of expertise and professionalism in my work.
My career includes extensive experience as an independent contractor for leading technological, medical, and scientific organisations. I specialise in user interface translation and have a robust background in computer programming. My passion for life sciences is driven by the ingenuity these fields demand. Additionally, I regularly contribute to language projects for various Irish and EU bodies.
The lifting of the derogation on Irish as an official EU language in 2022 was a landmark event, fully recognising Irish in all EU institutions. This milestone is personally significant to me and my peers and drives my commitment to supporting the revitalisation and appreciation of the Irish language both nationally and internationally.
